Note: Most every Japanese OEM tubeless tire rim since the early 80's, uses the larger 11.3mm (0.453in) valve stem.

• Ultra light weight valve stem, for when only the absolute best will do in a valve stem. 
• These are the same valve stems used by Ducati (8.3mm Size).

1. Remove old valve stem
2. Clean both valve body and valve stem hole on rim.
3. Insert valve onto rim, taking care not to damage the gasket at the base of the valve stem.
4. Attach the nut on the inside of the rim to the valve stem threaded body.
5. Set valve stem torque to 7Nm to 10Nm. (5.1~7.3 ft-lb / 62~88 in-lb)

• To check the clearance, use a socket that is about 16mm in outer diameter.
• Place socket around the current valve stem with the valve stem sticking though the center of the socket.
• If you have a flat region that fits a socket of about 16mm, then you should have enough clearance.

• Rule of Thumb: 8.3mm Fits Aftermarket Rims (Cerchi Antera, Marvic, Marchesini, OZ Racing, Brembo, Etc.)
  • Check the rim opening, some used rims have been modified to accept the larger 11.3mm valve stem.
  • Some manufactures make special "Street" rims with 11.3mm.
